As part of the FITUR tourism trade show, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the Wyndham Grand Santo Domingo (Torre Everest), the brand’s first five-star luxury property in the Dominican Republic, scheduled to open in the summer of 2026.

This highly anticipated addition to Wyndham’s portfolio is designed to compete with global luxury hotel chains, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion in the Caribbean region.

Strategically located in Santo Domingo’s exclusive Piantini sector, the 238-room property will offer an innovative hotel experience by combining world-class amenities with a unique local aesthetic.

Rates will start at approximately US$500 per night, reflecting the brand’s premium approach.

A New Standard in Luxury Hospitality

During FITUR 2025, Wyndham unveiled the first images of the interiors of the Wyndham Grand Santo Domingo, which promise to redefine luxury hospitality in the region.

Designed to meet the expectations of the most demanding travelers, these spaces reflect a perfect balance between global sophistication and local design.

“This is the first time a five-star property in Santo Domingo has reached a truly internationally competitive standard,” commented Gabriel Salom, CEO of Operadora Hotelera Dominicana, the company created exclusively to manage Wyndham properties in the country.

“The difference of this property lies in its ability to offer amenities and experiences comparable to those of global cities like New York, but with a personalized approach that will transform the perception of luxury in Santo Domingo. In collaboration with Altron Trading, led by Edwin Pereyra, Wyndham ensures that every detail of the interior design will be up to the highest standards. This partnership makes Alton Trading the exclusive interior supplier for the project, ensuring exceptional quality and distinctive aesthetics.

The hotel will be operated by Operadora Hotelera Dominicana, ensuring that Wyndham’s global excellence is combined with the local hospitality of the Dominican Republic.
